Community Employment Services
Job Development
Each consumer goes through a pre-vocational assessment period so that the skills required on the job match the abilities of the consumer. Every effort is made to ensure that the consumer is placed in his/her desired setting. Consumers are placed in enclaves or in individual placement positions. When the consumer is in an individual placement, the Job Coach provides one-on-one training and assistance until the consumer can do the job on his/her own. Once training is completed, the Job Coach continues to check on the consumer on a regular basis to make sure everything is going well and provide support when required.
Consumers are assigned Job Coaches who assist them in becoming as acclimated to their job sites as possible.
There continue to be various types of services offered in-group placement: retail stocking; janitorial and ground maintenance; shipping & receiving, customer services, etc.
Persons placed in competitive jobs may return to the organization's services if job loss occurs with sixty (60) days.
