Reports to: Program Manager of the Main Office
Conditions: Full Time, Permanent Duties:
The Job developer acts as a liaison between community employers and Arc Mid-Cities. She/He oversees current employment contracts to ensure that they are being properly managed and seeks-out and sets-up new employment contracts. He/He assists the Program Manager to match the job openings with the consumers' wants and needs and to place the appropriate Job Coach/Direct Care Staff at each contract. Responsibilities include:
Promotes and develops employment and on-the-job training opportunities for disadvantaged applicants: Assist employers in revising standards which exclude applicants from jobs. These opportunities should reflect the vocational needs of the consumers in the program. Procurement involves determining the needs of employers, designing a plan to meet the employer's needs, negotiating a contract, conducting sensitivity training, implementing the agreed upon contract and troubleshooting. Maintaining communication with outside employers to ensure that all enclaves' performances continue to meet their needs. Troubleshooting any problems which may arise.
Conducting time studies on all consumers within the allotted time.
Distributing and collecting Job Coach/Direct Care Staff Feedback forms from all employers/. Addressing the issues put forth in these surveys.
Attending important meetings which would expose Arc Mid-Cities' programs to to her organizations and vice versa. Such meetings may include: Vendors Committee meetings, Chamber of Commerce meetings, Regional Center meetings.
Representing Arc Mid-Cities in a positive and business-like manner at all times.
